TechMex Austin exists to connect, empower, and amplify Mexican and Latino tech professionals in Austin's innovation ecosystem. We create spaces for knowledge exchange, professional development, and cross-border collaboration.

A thriving, visible, and influential Mexican tech community in Austin — where talent flows freely across borders, ideas become companies, and culture is a competitive advantage.

2018

The Seed

TechMex Austin begins as informal gatherings of Mexican tech professionals in Austin, organized through Red Global MX.

2024

Casa TechMex I

First edition of Casa TechMex at Headliners Club. 250+ attendees. The community finds its flagship event.

2025

Casa TechMex II

Second edition at Capital Factory. 350+ attendees. TechMex Talks series launches. The platform grows.

2026

The Platform

Year-round programming. TechMex becomes a full community platform — events, content, jobs, and resources.

Red Global MX

TechMex Austin is part of the Red Global de Mexicanos en el Exterior — a network of Mexican professionals worldwide, supported by the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) and Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE).

This institutional backing gives TechMex credibility, access to consular support, and connections to Mexican professional chapters in 100+ cities worldwide.

TechMex Austin works closely with the Mexican Consulate in Austin, which provides institutional support, event collaboration, and connections to government programs for Mexicans abroad.
